About The Neverclaim

Portland, Oregon-based band The Neverclaim began five years ago with lead singer and guitarist Jeremiah Carlson seeking an outlet for worship songs he was writing. The band recorded an album shortly thereafter and began touring around the Northwest opening for Third Day, Kutless, Phil Wickham, Addison Road and Shawn McDonald among others. Matt Ramsey (guitar), Chuck Hill (bass), Josh Anderson (guitar) and Jared Key (drums) round out the band which became The Neverclaim.

Carlson has been the youth pastor at Vancouver Vineyard for the past nine years and serves as Northwest Youth Task Force leader for the Vineyard movement, so the connection to Vineyard Music was a natural one. “I’ve always looked up to the Vineyard Music team because of the influence they have on worship music within the Church body,” says Carlson. “Our music is about creating opportunities for listeners to encounter God in a real way, and the Vineyard Music team is very supportive of that.”

The band’s first release on the Vineyard Music label is an EP entitled QUIETDOWN, which was recorded in April of 2010 at Downbeat Studios in Vancouver, WA and features 8 songs penned and produced by the band; along with Hyperstatic Union’s Shawn Lewis.

QUIETDOWN is available through Vineyard Resources direct, as well as on iTunes. The band will be touring extensively throughout 2011 and have plans to release a new full length album later this year.
